About Our Pastor

Rev. Horace A. Head was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Tupelo High School and Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and an Associates of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Southern University. Also, he received a Master of Divinity degree from Phillips School of Theology at the Interdenominational Theological Center.

Rev. Head has pastored Trinity-Griffin C.M.E. Church since July of 2001. He has served as a pastor in full connection in the C.M.E. church since 1996. His ministry encourages family love, hope, healing, economic empowerment, wholeness, social empowerment, political involvement and love for all of God's children.

Rev. Head is a middle school Language Arts teacher in the Fulton County Schools system. He has facilitated various seminars and published many works.

He is a devout follower of Christianity and enjoys stimulating others to remain faithful. In his spare time he enjoys reading and spending time with his family.

Rev. Head has been married to Ann Davis Head of Covington, Louisiana since December of 1994.  They are blessed to have two adventurous children.  The older child's name is Aciana, she will turn 13 in January, 2009 while the youngest child's name is Jacen, he will turn 9 in January 2009.  Rev. and Mrs. Head are a tremendous family couple, and their love bubbles over to their church family as well.
